Knocked back on the truck? You went to the wrong lender.
Two years of financials is a bank's policy, not the whole market. John Karlaganis has spent 15 years placing commercial and asset finance with 30+ lenders — including the ones that assess an owner-driver on what they actually have.
- Low doc options for operators with no current financials
- Defaults, discharged bankrupts and thin files considered
- One conversation, then we only apply where you'll be approved

Three questions. No credit check. John calls you back.
No credit check to enquire — this doesn't touch your file. Nothing goes to a lender until you've spoken to John.

Who we get approved
The bank's policy isn't the whole market
Banks run one credit policy. We run thirty. If your file has something on it, the job isn't to convince a lender to bend — it's to know which lender already says yes to it.
Self-employed, no current financials
Low doc commercial options for owner-drivers and operators without up-to-date tax returns. Bring what you have — bank statements, invoices, the contract you're driving under — and we'll work with it.
Paid or unpaid defaults
A default on your file doesn't end the conversation. We know which lenders on our panel price them in and which ones won't look, so you're not finding out the hard way.
Discharged bankrupt
Plenty of operators have had a business go bad. Once you're discharged there are lenders who will consider you, and we go to those first instead of putting you through a decline.
Going out on your own
Coming off wages to sub-contract under your own ABN is exactly the file a bank's policy is built to reject. Raise it on the first call — what a lender will do with it depends on your deposit, the truck and the work you've got lined up.
Not sure where you sit? Ask John — it costs nothing to find out
How it works
Three steps, one phone call
STEP 01Tell us three things
Your name, your number and roughly what you need to borrow. That's the whole form — no credit check, no obligation, nothing that touches your file.
STEP 02John calls you back
What you're buying, where it's coming from and what your file actually looks like. Then we shortlist the lenders on our panel most likely to say yes to that deal.
STEP 03We do the paperwork
We package the application, chase the lender and keep you posted. Approvals can land the same day, with funds disbursed within 24 hours of settlement.

“I thought I had 0% chance”
Google reviews from John's car and asset finance clients. Different asset, same job — most of them came to us after being told no somewhere else.
One of the Best finance companies I've used. Helped me a lot even when I thought I had no chance of getting a car loan from them. In my mind I really had 0% chance of getting anything but after I talked to John Karlaganis He helped me out and I got what I was after at the end. Will absolutely recommend to anyone I know that needs help in the future.
John is absolutely amazing.. made the process of applying for car loan soo easy.. very professional and so helpful and supportive. At times when I doubted my application he assured me he would work on the process and inform me asap and that he did. My family needed a car desperately and you made the process so stress less for me.
John got me a loan for my car. I had a few things that went against my application, but John went through the process of using the right channels to get me a loan that was affordable and flexible. I would highly recommend John's professional experience if you require a loan! 10 stars out of 5!!!!!
John did my car finance process quickly, smoothly and he is also supported and gave best options of finance. I definitely refer his reference to another guys for a finance.
They are really professional in their job. Had a great experience with John.

Who you'll deal with
You get John. Not a call centre.
I'm John Karlaganis, owner and broker at Finance4Less. Fifteen years in asset management, equipment and finance, plus time inside dealerships — so I know how a deal gets assessed on the other side of the desk.
That matters most when your file isn't textbook, which is most owner-drivers. Every application you lodge leaves a mark, so the point of the first call is to work out where you actually stand before anything is submitted anywhere.

The questions we get asked
Yes. A default, a discharged bankruptcy or a thin file doesn't automatically rule you out — it changes which lender you should be applying to. With 30+ lenders on our panel we shortlist the ones that actually consider your situation, so you're not collecting declines that mark your file.
Yes. We offer low doc commercial loans for self-employed people without current financials. You still need to show capacity to repay, so bring what you do have — bank statements, invoices, the contract you're driving under — and we'll work out which lenders assess a file that way.
It matters to the lender, so tell John where the truck is coming from before you commit to anything. Which lenders will fund a private or auction purchase, and what they need in the way of inspection and paperwork, is one of the first things we check. Sorting it before the hammer falls is a lot easier than after.
That's a conversation for John and your accountant together. The structure changes how the truck sits on your books and how GST and depreciation are handled, so it's worth settling before the application goes in rather than after. Finance4Less arranges the finance; your accountant gives the tax advice.
You need to be at least 18, an Australian citizen or permanent resident (or a non-resident on an acceptable visa), and be able to show capacity to repay. That last part is the one worth talking through, because how you evidence it is different for an owner-driver than it is for a wage earner.
The application takes about five minutes online and approvals can come back the same day. Once the application settles, funding is disbursed within 24 hours. If you're on a deadline — an auction, a contract start date — say so on the first call so it gets packaged accordingly.
Nothing to talk to us. Finance4Less is paid by the lender when a loan settles, and any commission or fee is disclosed to you in writing in your credit quote before you sign anything.
